Microsoft Outlook

(Please be patient, this page is a little graphics heavy so it may take longer than normal to load. )

To set up Outlook for the first time on the computer, find the Icon on your desktop and 'Right Click'.

A drop down menu will appear and you'll need to choose 'Properties' which should be the last one on the list.

The first thing that should appear is the 'Add Service to Profile' box. Choose 'Internet E-mail' from the list then click on 'OK'.

The Email Properties box will then come up with the 'General' tab already up. In the 'Mail Account' box, please enter the name that will be assigned to this particular email server. The 'Name' under User Information is again your name and in the Email Address box, type you Zoom Internet Email Address. Make sure that your email address is entered in lower case before clicking on the 'Servers' tab at the top of the screen.

Under the 'Servers' tab it asks for the Outgoing and Incoming Mail servers. Both of these should again be typed in lower case. For the Connellsville area the servers are mail.[yourdomain.com], all others should use the ones listed above. For the 'Login Information' your account name will be the same as you email address only without the @[yourdomain.com]. Same thing happens here, make sure it's in lower case. If you would like for the Outlook to remember your password, you can enter it now before clicking on the 'Connection' tab.

The 'Connection' setup is fairly simple. Click on 'I use a Lan connection' before moving to under the Advanced Tab.

The information provided under the 'Advanced' tab should already be there. Just to verify the settings, the outgoing SMTP is on Port 25 and the Incoming port is 110.

Now it's just a matter of clicking on 'Apply' then 'OK' to exit out of it. Now, double click on the 'Outlook' icon on the desktop. Try to send yourself a piece of e-mail as a test to make sure it's working properly. If it's not, please feel free to call the ABSOLUTE 0 Support Center at 330-721-4600.
